Just out of curiosity what is the favorite wine you have ever had?
Mine is a 1997 Pinot Noir Reserve from Robert Mondavi.
We had it while out in Napa and at the winery on a tasting, and it is to this day the best wine I have ever had. It is also the only $40 bottle of wine I have ever purchased.

My favorites have been any wine from the Door County/Northern WI area. Red Raspbery, Blackberry and sweet cherry are my favs. It is very smooth and and not overly sweet. And most of them are less than 10$ a bottle

I might have to see if I can find those anywhere around here. They sound tasty.
As for my favorite, I'm kind of undecided, and cannot remember what I ordered at Asia de Cuba in San Francisco a few weeks ago. It was easily the best wine I've yet tried, and also the most expensive glass of wine I've ponied up for

Almost anything from Cakebread Winery, not cheap but good. I also love some of the blends that I have found from Western NY wineries, Heron Hill is one of my favorites and their Eclipse is really good. Another really good wine is from Gainey Vineyard in California, their Pinot Noir was excellent.

I have had, and currently have some of the Door County stuff. Our favorite from there is the Peach Lyte, nothing expensive, but a great flavor for an easy drinking wine.
We love going to the WI state fair in Milwaukee and going to the wine tasting building every year, great place to try all of those Door County wines.

^^I agree, the wine tasting at the state fair is a good time to taste a fairly large number of wines from Wi. I found this years not so great though.
